The Institute of Great Universal Geographic Map was founded in 2016. It has 13 long term researchers and five research sections studying on the spreading of Great Universal Geographic Map, the comparing of the East and the West, the sorting and research on the foreign materials, the Jesuits, and the international influence of Qing Dynasty. Basing on the Great Universal Geographic Map preserved by Hebei University, the Institute tries to the sorting and research on the foreign materials the communication between the East and the West in 17 and 18 centuries.
